Vintage Holiday Gift Guide

Think of this more like a mood board than a gift guide

My family does something a little unique, and that is that we gift vintage and found items for holidays/birthdays. Yes, we do buy some things new but we try to gift vintage as much as we can. Gifting vintage items is really personal, it takes a lot of time and effort to find those perfect peices for your loved one. This is more like a moodboard because there are no links to things you can go buy, but rather a mood board of ideas for vintage hunting.

vintage items perfect for gifting:

  • primitive wood bowls of any size

  • beautiful vintage quilts

  • jewelry boxes

    • My parents bought me a vintage italian jewelry box for my birthday and I love it so much!
  • Vases. Think marble, brass, painted.

  • brass candle holders (you can never have too many!

  • cocktail glasses

  • brass figurines

  • colorful china for serving or decor

  • gold lockets

  • crocks/jugs

  • earrings

  • stoneware bowls

    • Or handmade pottery! Think the items we made in school and later ended up at a thrift store. Those are fun pieces to have/gift!

My favorite places to shop for vintage:

  • Antique stores

    • They've done the work for you and have found all the goods and put them in one spot!
  • Carousel and Folk

  • Arlee Park

  • Thrift Stores:

    • Arcs value village

    • Savers

    • Goodwill

  • eBay (if you are looking for something specific, this is a good place to start)
