Earthy Mid-Century Inspired Living Room
I am helping my best friend Julia with a little living room refresh! Julia and her husband moved in almost two years ago and haven't painted any walls, so it was time to bring in some new life and get some paint on the walls that they selected. Julia also wanted to get a few new pieces of furniture to make the living room cozier and more of a lounge space for guests. I had already limewashed their fireplace a few months ago, which is reflected in the “before” photos below.
Before
Light and bright, but keep it earthy and collected.
White was an easy selection for the walls because it is best suited with Mid Century style pieces and is best for having artwork on the walls. We are going with Swiss Coffee from Behr to bring a warm white to all of the walls. This will allow the artwork to really be a focal point on the walls as well. Julia does love color, so we will be bringing in olive green velvet chairs, colorful artwork, and saturated wood tones into the space to make it feel cozy and modern. We will be bringing in a sculptural, vintage coffee table that will bring character into the room and also help the room feel
